  • Jazz Showcase 806 S Plymouth Ct Chicago United States (map)

Michael Emmert - Saxophones/Flute
Andrew Toombs - Piano
Jonathan Pinson - Drums
Jeremiah Hunt - Bass

Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Jeremiah Hunt developed a passion for music early on, starting with the trumpet before switching to bass by 9th grade. After attending Florida A&M University and participating in the 2009 Disneyland All-American College Band, where he learned from notable figures like John Clayton, Gordon Goodwin, and Wycliffe Gordon, he knew where his career was headed.

Now based in Chicago, Jeremiah has performed at top venues including Jazz Showcase, The Green Mill, and Andy’s Jazz Club, and has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia as a sideman. He has worked with artists such as Bobby Broom, Pharez Whitted, Marquis Hill, Dee Alexander, and Jeff "Tain" Watts, to name a few. Notably, he played on “Cosmic Transitions” with Isaiah Collier, which received a five-star review in Downbeat Magazine in 2021.

In addition to his extensive performance experience, Jeremiah's work as a former player of The Main Squeeze—a Funk/Soul/Rock & Roll band—showcases his ability to seamlessly blend various musical styles. Adding to his resume, he opened for the legendary Ohio Players in 2021.

The Jeremiah Review, birthed from Jeremiah's vision as a sound-explorer and arranger, practices free will of expression through a harmonious blend of original modern-day compositions while preserving the history of ancestral music. Jeremiah Hunt continues to push musical boundaries, always exploring new avenues and pursuing his own unique sound.

Jazz enthusiasts eagerly anticipate his new album, which is slated for release in summer 2025.
